Le Tony Award de la meilleure comédie musicale est un prix décerné annuellement à la meilleure nouvelle comédie musicale jouée à Broadway. Ce prix est l'un des plus anciens de la cérémonie des Tony Awards et est décerné chaque année depuis 1949. Le prix est décerné au(x) metteur(s) en scène de la comédie musicale. Une comédie musicale est éligible au Tony Award de la meilleure comédie musicale si elle n'a pas été produite auparavant à Broadway et si elle n'appartient pas au répertoire historique ou populaire, auquel cas la comédie musicale peut être éligible au Tony Award de la meilleure reprise d'une comédie musicale[1].
