Histoire
Plug In Digital a été fondée en 2012 à Montpellier par Francis Ingrand et se consacre dans un premier temps à la distribution de jeux vidéo[4].
En 2015, l'entreprise crée un label d'édition nommé Plug In Digital Label[5]. Il est renommé Playdius puis Dear Villagers en 2019 et se concentre sur la cible gamer[6]. En 2018, Plug In Digital était déjà le quatrième éditeur français en chiffre d'affaires[7].
En 2019, Plug In Digital fait une levée de fonds de 2 millions d'euros[7] et ouvre un bureau à Shanghai sous la direction de Gao Zheren - ce marché représente alors 20 % de ses ventes[8].
En 2020, l'entreprise est intégré pour la troisième année consécutive au classement des Champions de la croissance établi par le quotidien Les Échos[2]
