Huntley Gordon
Huntley Gordon né le [1] à Montréal (Québec), et mort d’une attaque cérébrale le à Van Nuys, en Californie à l'âge de 77 ans, est un acteur canadien. Il a servi dans l’armée de son pays pendant la Première Guerre mondiale entre fin 1916 et 1918. Il est enterré dans le cimetière de Forest Lawn Mémorial Park de Glendale, dans le même État.

Biographie
Huntley Gordon commence sa carrière pendant le conflit mondial de 1914-1918 en tant qu’acteur dès 1916. Son premier film, tourné pendant son engagement en Angleterre où il était basé, possédait comme arrière-plan le conflit de la Première Guerre. Après sa démobilisation, il est demandé par des firmes hollywoodiennes, qui recherchaient des acteurs au regard suave et à l’allure élégante et distinguée, adaptés pour les films muets. Toujours demandé par Hollywood pendant la période des films parlants à la fin des années 1920, Huntley Gordon a voyagé entre l’Angleterre et les États-Unis pour tourner plus de 120 films avec les studios de la Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc.
Il se retire vers les années 1940 pour se réorienter vers la fabrication des bas de soie, affaire lucrative grâce aux restrictions de la Seconde Guerre mondiale. On l'entendra souvent dans des interviews radiophoniques canadiennes et anglaises.
