Bristol Britannia

Le Bristol Britannia est un avion commercial britannique. Au début il n'avait que 48 sièges mais au fil du temps ses dimensions augmentèrent. Moderne au moment de son lancement en 1952 (premier appareil doté de turbopropulseurs), il a été rendu obsolète par l'arrivée des avions de ligne à réaction et ne fut produit qu'à 85 exemplaires, sa fabrication étant arrêtée en 1960. Il eut pour principaux clients la BOAC, qui acheta 10 exemplaires de la Série 102, et la Royal Air Force, qui acheta des appareils des Séries 252 et 253.
