Abolfazl Beyhaghi
Abu'l-Faḍl Bayhaqī ou, selon la prononciation iranienne, Abolfazl Beyhaghi (ابوالفضل بیهقی, Ibn Zeyd ibn Muhammad Abul-Fazl Mohammad ibn Hossein ibn Soleyman Ayyoub Ansari Evesi Khazimi Bayhaqī Shafe'i), était un écrivain et historien persan[1].
Biographie
Il rédigea une œuvre célèbre de la littérature persane, le Tarikh-e Mas'oudi ("Histoire de Masûd de Ghaznî", également appelée Tarikh-e Beyhaghi).
Bayhaqi est né dans le village de Haares-Abad à Bayhaq dans le Khorasan, près de Sabzevar. Il étudia diverses sciences à Nichapour, et fut alors employé au secrétariat du Sultan Mahmoud de Ghaznî, où il put démontrer son efficacité.
En 1039, son supérieur Abu Nasr Mushkan mourut et, quelques années après, le roi Abd ur-Rashîd le nomma chef du Secrétariat Royal.
Après sa retraite en 1058, Bayhaqi commença à éditer ses notes quotidiennes et des données historiques et les publia dans un livre appelé "Tarikh-e Bayhaqi".
Son livre est l’une des sources les plus fiables sur l’empire des Ghaznévides, et sa prose fluide fait également de ce livre un élément considérable de la littérature persane.
Son livre comprend un chapitre célèbre sur l’exécution de Hasanak le vizir (en).
